With distribution partner Platoon, KUNYE has become home to artists like Thakzin, Blanka Mazimela, and Darque, alongside global remixers such as Louie Vega, Mele, and Rodriguez Jr. Through its curated releases and immersive events, KUNYE continues to elevate the Afro House sound — together as one.
our history
KUNYE was born during the global lockdowns of 2020, launching as a series of streamed sets to bring South African sounds to homes around the world. These online moments quickly transformed into one of the most celebrated Afro House event series, with shows across Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, London, Kenya, Ibiza, and beyond. Today, KUNYE’s event and label arms work hand-in-hand, amplifying African excellence in music and uniting thousands at each show. With official Apple Music DJ Mix curator status and a Beatport Label of the Month feature, KUNYE is at the forefront of the Afro House movement.
